KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.82, while the selling rate stands at Rs 153.42.
The buying rate for one euro is Rs 178.50 and the selling rate is Rs 179.20. Similarly, the British pound sterling has a buying rate of Rs 208.41 and a selling rate of Rs 209.23, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 190.79 for buying and Rs 191.54 for selling.
The Australian dollar has been set at Rs 109.66 for buying and Rs 110.09 for selling. The Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 111.01 and a selling rate of Rs 111.44, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 120.36 for buying and Rs 120.84 for selling.
For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.61 and the selling rate is Rs 9.65. One Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 22.74 for buying and Rs 22.83 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.70 and a selling rate of Rs 40.86, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 41.93 for buying and Rs 42.09 for selling.
According to the central bank, one Thai baht is set at Rs 4.67 for buying and Rs 4.69 for selling. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 41.61 and a selling rate of Rs 41.77, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.84 for buying and Rs 37.99 for selling.
The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 11.03 and the selling rate is Rs 11.07. Meanwhile, the Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 16.14 for buying and Rs 16.21 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 23.88 for buying and Rs 23.97 for selling.
The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.49 and the selling rate is Rs 19.57. The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at Rs 498.19 for buying and Rs 500.15 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 405.36 for buying and Rs 406.95 for selling. The Omani rial has a buying rate of Rs 396.95 and a selling rate of Rs 398.51.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for both buying and selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on market conditions. Rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s official rates, with updated rates available on the central bank’s website.
