KATHMANDU: The Flood Forecasting Division has warned of possible flood risks in 28 districts, including Kathmandu, due to rising water levels in rivers today.
The Division issued a bulletin on Friday morning, advising residents in flood-prone areas to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
According to the bulletin, the flow of small rivers in Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Lamjung, Kaski, Tanahun, Syangja, Rukum East, Rukum West, Mugu, Humla, Bajura, Bajhang, Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura and Doti is likely to increase significantly.
The Division has warned of a moderate risk of flash floods in these areas and urged people living near riverbanks to remain cautious.
