Hotel owner attacked in Kanchanpur



KANCHANPUR: A hotel owner in Kanchanpur has been attacked in an incident that took place last night.

The victim has been identified as Govinda Chand, owner of the Grand Pacific Hotel in Mahendranagar, Bhimdatta Municipality–4.

According to Kanchanpur Police spokesperson Birendra Thapa, the attack occurred at around 9 pm while Chand was at the hotel. He sustained injuries and was taken for treatment but has since been discharged.

Police said a group of five to six individuals was involved in the assault. CCTV footage of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

However, the suspects involved in the attack have not yet been arrested. Police said the motive behind the incident will be clear only after the perpetrators are taken into custody and investigated.
