RPP Senior Vice Chair Bikram Pandey arrested



KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Senior Vice President Bikram Pandey has been arrested.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police took Pandey into custody on Friday. Bureau Chief Manoj KC said he has been brought in for investigation, adding that further details will be made available shortly.

Pandey, a construction entrepreneur and former minister, was elected to the House of Representatives from Chitwan-3 in the 2079 BS elections.

According to the bureau, he was arrested in connection with a financial transaction related to his construction business. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Kalika Group.
