RSP to hold central committee meeting Thursday to decide parliamentary party leader



KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to hold a central committee meeting on Thursday to decide on its parliamentary party leader.

The meeting has been scheduled ahead of the oath-taking ceremony for members of the House of Representatives, which will take place at 2 pm on March 26. On the same day, the party has called another meeting at 4 pm to discuss the selection of its parliamentary party leader.

According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, the meeting will be held at the party’s central office in Banasthali under the chairmanship of party president Ravi Lamichhane. All central committee members have been directed to attend the meeting, where various issues will also be discussed.

In the House of Representatives election held on March 5, the RSP secured 125 seats under the first-past-the-post system and 57 seats under the proportional representation system.
