Minimum temperature rises in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has increased, while meteorologists have forecast a chance of light rain later today.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the Valley is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the day, with the possibility of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the afternoon.

The minimum temperature recorded at 5:45 am today stood at 13.4 degrees Celsius. However, this is a preliminary reading, and the final minimum temperature will be confirmed at 8:45 am.

Officials say the temperature may drop slightly in the final measurement, although it could also remain unchanged.

In comparison, the Valley recorded an initial minimum temperature of 11.8 degrees Celsius on Monday, which later settled at 11.7 degrees Celsius, while Sunday’s minimum temperature was significantly lower at 8.4 degrees Celsius.
