Light rain likely in Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly and local winds.

Skies are generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions, including Koshi, Madhes, and Lumbini provinces, while the rest of the country remains partly cloudy.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning are occurring at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

This afternoon, hilly and mountainous areas, including Koshi Province, are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Terai will see partly cloudy conditions.

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in similar regions of other provinces. Light rainfall is also likely at one or two places in the Terai of Koshi Province.

Tonight, mountainous regions will remain generally cloudy, hilly areas will be partly cloudy, and the Terai will experience mostly clear weather.

Light rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning are likely at some places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and at one or two places in other hilly and mountainous regions.
