US dollar, pound and Swiss franc appreciate in Nepali market



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar, UK pound sterling, and Swiss franc recording gains. The buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 150.07 and the selling rate at Rs 150.67, continuing its upward trend.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro has been set at Rs 173.53 and the selling rate at Rs 174.23. The buying rate of one UK pound sterling stands at Rs 200.50 and the selling rate at Rs 201.30, while the Swiss franc is valued at Rs 190.25 for buying and Rs 191.01 for selling.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 104.85 and the selling rate is Rs 105.27. The Canadian dollar is priced at Rs 109.25 for buying and Rs 109.69 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 117.39 for buying and Rs 117.86 for selling.

Likewise, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.45 and the selling rate is Rs 9.49. The Chinese yuan is valued at Rs 21.78 for buying and Rs 21.86 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 39.97 for buying and Rs 40.13 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 41.06 for buying and Rs 41.22 for selling.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs 4.62 and the selling rate is Rs 4.64. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 40.86 for buying and Rs 41.02 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 38.09 for buying and Rs 38.25 for selling.

Similarly, the buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.06 and the selling rate is Rs 10.10. The Swedish kronor is valued at Rs 15.99 for buying and Rs 16.06 for selling, and the Danish kronor at Rs 23.22 for buying and Rs 23.32 for selling.

The central bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.16 and the selling rate at Rs 19.24. The Kuwaiti dinar is priced at Rs 489.47 for buying and Rs 491.42 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 397.48 for buying and Rs 399.07 for selling, and the Omani rial at Rs 389.79 for buying and Rs 391.35 for selling. Similarly, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
