NC holding Central Working Committee meeting today



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Working Committee today.

Acting Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal stated that the meeting is scheduled for today at 1 pm and will be held at the party’s central office in Sanepa. Earlier, the Central Working Committee had met for two days, on Friday and Sunday.

The previous meeting decided to reject the resignation submitted by party President Gagan Thapa and conducted a preliminary review of the recent election.

Party leaders have said that a full review of the election will be conducted in the meeting, which will also be attended by President Thapa. This will be Thapa’s first participation in a committee meeting following the election.

The earlier meetings on Friday and Sunday were chaired by Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
