Light rain, snowfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

At present, there is partial cloud cover over the high hilly and mountainous areas, including Karnali Province, while the weather remains mainly clear in the rest of the country.

Over the past 24 hours, light and scattered rainfall was recorded at one or two locations in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

On Tuesday morning, fog is likely to occur in some parts of the Terai region. By afternoon, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as the mountainous regions of other provinces, are expected to see generally cloudy conditions. The remaining hilly areas will experience partial cloud cover, while the Terai region will remain mostly clear.

There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at a few places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces during the afternoon. Similarly, light rain or snowfall may occur at one or two locations in the hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, fog is likely in some parts of the Terai. The mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces are expected to remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will see mainly clear weather. Light rain or snowfall is also possible at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
