Snowfall in Humla disrupts daily life

HUMLA: Snowfall has occurred in various parts of Humla, affecting daily life across the district. Following rainfall, its first since last September, snow began falling for the first time this year, bringing relief to farmers who had been concerned about the prolonged dry spell.

While lower parts of the district are receiving rain, snowfall has been reported in areas including Upper Humla, Simkot, Namkha, and surrounding regions. Typically, snowfall in Humla follows heavy rainfall in the lower areas, a pattern that is currently being observed.

The snowfall has disrupted transportation and daily activities. The road connecting Hilsa via Namkha Rural Municipality has been completely blocked, causing difficulties for residents and travelers.
