NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal held a bilateral meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in New York on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly.
During the meeting, Khanal expressed gratitude to the Government and people of India for their solidarity with Nepal following the recent devastating floods and for providing immediate rescue and relief assistance.
The two ministers discussed various aspects of Nepal-India relations, matters of bilateral interest and progress in implementing agreements between the two countries.
They also emphasized the need to further strengthen the longstanding, close and multifaceted relations between Nepal and India and to advance development cooperation more effectively.
