House of Representatives meeting taking place today

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to take place today at 11:00 am.

At the meeting, Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is scheduled to read out the details of the Prime Minister’s letter of assignment received from the Office of the President.

Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal is scheduled to present the Waste Management Bill, 2083.

Similarly, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle is expected to present proposals seeking consideration of the Citizen Investment Fund (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083 and the Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Environment Gita Chaudhary will present a proposal seeking consideration of the Contagious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill, 2083, which originated in the National Assembly. Meanwhile, meetings of five parliamentary committees are also scheduled for today.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the Finance Committee, Infrastructure Development Committee, State Management and Good Governance Committee, Education, Health and Information Technology Committee, and Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee will hold their respective meetings.
