Chief Justice Sharma leaves for India on official visit



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma left for India on Thursday at the invitation of his Indian counterpart, Chief Justice Surya Kant, the Supreme Court said.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala, Sharma’s visit includes bilateral talks with Chief Justice Kant as well as a visit to the Supreme Court of India.

The visit is aimed at strengthening judicial cooperation and exchanges between the two countries.

Chief Justice Sharma is scheduled to return to Nepal on July 27, following the completion of his visit.

His wife Uma Sharma and Joint Registrar Amit Upreti are accompanying him as members of the visiting delegation.
