Health Ministry calls for applications for vacant posts in key health bodies



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Food Safety has called for applications to fill vacant leadership positions in eight major health-related institutions, including the Health Insurance Board.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the ministry invited applications from qualified and eligible Nepali citizens for various top posts across regulatory councils, research bodies, and specialised health institutions.

The institutions include the Nepal Ayurvedic Medical Council, Nepal Health Research Council, Nepal Nursing Council, Nepal Health Professional Council, Nepal Pharmacy Council, Nepal Medical Council, Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, and the Health Insurance Board.

According to the notice, applications have been invited for the posts of chairperson and registrar in the Ayurvedic Medical Council, Health Professional Council, Pharmacy Council, and Nepal Medical Council.

Similarly, the Nepal Nursing Council will appoint a chairperson, vice-chairperson, and registrar. The Health Research Council will fill three member positions and one member-secretary post.

For the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, the ministry will appoint an executive director, while the Health Insurance Board will receive appointments for the posts of chairperson and executive director.

The ministry said eligible Nepali citizens meeting the criteria specified in relevant laws and regulations can apply within 10 days from the date of publication of the notice.

Applications can be submitted through the Ministry of Health and Population’s Policy, Planning and Monitoring Division or via the ministry’s official website.
