CPN-UML parliamentary party meeting underway at Chyasal

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the CPN-UML parliamentary party is currently underway at the party central office in Chyasal.

The meeting, which began some time ago, is being addressed by party chairperson KP Sharma Oli, who is briefing lawmakers on recent political developments and the current national context, according to party sources.

Leaders present at the meeting said Chair Oli is delivering a detailed briefing on contemporary issues facing the party and the country.

The parliamentary meeting has been convened at a time when the party is closely monitoring recent political and organizational developments within its ranks.

According to party insiders, the meeting was called following reports circulating regarding the alleged arrest of party vice-chair Bishnu Paudel in Surkhet.

Meanwhile, the CPN-UML has also called a separate secretariat meeting scheduled for this evening at 6 pm at Oli’s residence in Gundu.

Party leaders say both meetings are expected to discuss the evolving political situation and internal party matters.
