Nepali Congress calls central working committee meeting for Tuesday



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has called a meeting of its central working committee for Tuesday at 1:00 pm, according to acting chief secretary Krishna Prasad Dulal.

The meeting will be held at the party’s central office in Sanepa. The committee had earlier met on Friday and Sunday.

During those meetings, the committee decided to reject the resignation tendered by party president Gagan Kumar Thapa and conducted a preliminary review of the recent elections.

Leaders said Tuesday’s meeting will focus on a comprehensive review of the election results. Thapa is also expected to attend, marking his first participation in a party meeting since the elections.

The previous meetings were chaired by Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma.
