KATHMANDU: The driver who was injured in a bus fire at Tripureswor, Kathmandu, on Monday has died while undergoing treatment.
Shankarman Rai, a burn and plastic surgeon at Kirtipur Hospital, confirmed that the driver died on Monday evening while receiving treatment at the hospital.
Pawan Bhattarai, Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Range, also confirmed the death, saying the driver passed away at 7:15 pm on Monday. The bus caught fire at Tripureshwar earlier Monday, leaving the driver injured.
