Kulman Ghising demands strict punishment for those responsible in Jitpur case

KATHMANDU: Ujjyalo Nepal Party Chair Kulman Ghising has demanded strict action against those responsible for the rape and murder of a toddler in Jitpur, Bara.

In a statement issued today, former minister Ghising called for an impartial investigation into the incident and urged the authorities to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

The body of the girl, who had been missing since August 16, was found on August 20 in a house in Dasdhura settlement of Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Bara.

The Ujjyalo Nepal Party has raised concerns over the state’s responsibility to protect children, particularly in light of heinous crimes against girls, and called for justice for the victim and her family.
