One missing in Dolakha landslide, four hydropower workers rescued



KATHMANDU: A 75-year-old man has gone missing after a landslide struck Mulkharka in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-9 of Dolakha amid continuous rainfall.

The missing person has been identified as Chasman Tamang. According to local residents, he was swept away when the landslide hit the area.

Security personnel and local residents launched a search operation immediately after receiving reports of the incident. The search for the missing man is ongoing.

Meanwhile, four employees of a nearby hydropower project who were at risk due to the landslide were rescued safely by an emergency response team.

The rescued workers have been moved to a safer location, authorities said.
