CHITWAN: The closed session of the first national general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has been delayed as organizers continue to finalize logistical and administrative preparations.
According to RSP lawmaker Ranju Darshana, the session could not begin at the scheduled time due to ongoing work related to delegate verification and other management arrangements.
She said preparations have reached the final stage and expressed confidence that the closed session would begin shortly.
Party leaders also stated that the verification and management of delegate details from across the country were still underway, resulting in a brief postponement of the proceedings.
The closed session is expected to focus on key issues, including the selection of the party’s future leadership, organizational restructuring, amendments to the party statute, and discussions on the election process.
The convention is regarded as a landmark event for the RSP as it moves to institutionalize its organizational framework through its first national general convention.
