Kathmandu Valley likely to see rain, cloudy skies today



KATHMANDU: The weather in Kathmandu Valley is expected to remain mostly cloudy today (Monday), with chances of rain, including moderate to heavy showers in the evening, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The Division said the Valley was generally cloudy this morning, although some areas experienced brief clear conditions.

The cloud cover is likely to decrease over the next one to two hours, making the weather appear clearer during the afternoon, it said. However, clouds are expected to build up again later in the day, and there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in the evening.

Light and scattered rainfall is also possible in some places during the day, although the likelihood of rainfall is higher during the evening and nighttime hours.

The minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am. However, this is a preliminary reading and will be updated with the official observation taken at 8:45 am.

The maximum temperature in the Valley is likely to range between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius today.
