NEPSE drops 16.38 points despite higher market turnover



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 16.38 points on Friday, the last trading session of the week, despite a rise in market turnover.

During the day, 10.847 million shares from 336 companies were traded, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 4.482 billion.

Among the top performers, First Microfinance Laghubitta posted the biggest gain, with its stock price increasing by 14.81 percent. Similarly, shares of Mabilung Energy rose by 9.35 percent, while Bungal Hydro and Ankhukhola Hydropower advanced by 7.24 percent and 7.20 percent, respectively.
