Rabi Lamichhane holds one-on-one consultations with RSP lawmakers



KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has begun holding one-on-one discussions with party lawmakers amid growing political pressure in Parliament.

According to the party, Lamichhane initiated internal consultations with lawmakers in a bid to gather feedback and coordinate the party’s parliamentary strategy.

Party spokesperson Manish Jha said the discussions are being conducted in phases, based on provinces.

On Friday, meetings were held with lawmakers from the Koshi and Madhesh provinces. The session with Koshi Province MPs took place from 11 am to 1 pm, while discussions with Madhesh Province lawmakers were scheduled from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

The consultations come at a time when parliamentary activities have been affected by ongoing political tensions, including demands for the presence of Prime Minister Balen Shah in the House.
