Partial westerlies bring foggy weather to the Terai



KATHMANDU: Weather conditions across the country remain under partial influence of westerly winds, with fog expected to affect parts of the Terai, the Weather Forecasting Division said.

The Division said that foggy conditions are likely to develop in some parts of the Terai this afternoon. At present, the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces are experiencing partial cloud cover, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear. Fog has already been reported in some Terai locations.

This afternoon, similar weather conditions are expected to persist, with partial cloudiness in the high hills and mountains of Koshi and Gandaki and generally clear weather elsewhere.

Tonight, fog is likely to occur again in some areas of the Terai. Partial cloud cover is also forecast for the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly clear.
