Foreign currency exchange rates fixed for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar set at Rs 153.10 for buying and Rs 153.70 for selling.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one euro has been fixed at Rs 175.82 and the selling rate at Rs 176.51. Similarly, the buying and selling rates of one British pound sterling have been set at Rs 205.08 and Rs 205.88, respectively, while one Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 186.22 for buying and Rs 186.95 for selling.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 108.99 and the selling rate at Rs 109.42. The Canadian dollar is set at Rs 109.44 for buying and Rs 109.87 for selling, while the Singapore dollar is fixed at Rs 119.97 and Rs 120.45, respectively.

For Asian and Gulf currencies, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.76 and the selling rate at Rs 9.80. One Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.86 for buying and Rs 22.95 for selling. The buying and selling rates of one Saudi Arabian riyal are Rs 40.76 and Rs 40.92, respectively, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 42.01 for buying and Rs 42.17 for selling.

The central bank has fixed the buying rate of one Thai baht at Rs 4.59 and the selling rate at Rs 4.61. One UAE dirham is set at Rs 41.68 for buying and Rs 41.85 for selling, while one Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 37.52 and Rs 37.67, respectively.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been set at Rs 11.04 and the selling rate at Rs 11.09. One Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 15.57 for buying and Rs 15.64 for selling, while one Danish krone is set at Rs 23.52 and Rs 23.62, respectively.

Similarly, one Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.52 for buying and Rs 19.59 for selling. The buying and selling rates of one Kuwaiti dinar are Rs 498.13 and Rs 500.08, respectively. One Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 406.10 for buying and Rs 407.69 for selling, while one Omani rial is fixed at Rs 397.66 and Rs 399.22, respectively.

For the Indian rupee, the buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, with the selling rate also set at Rs 160.

Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates may be revised at any time depending on market conditions. The rates quoted by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s reference rates, and the latest exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
