RSP studying allegations against Home Minister, no clarification sought yet: Bhupadev Shah

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party General Secretary Bhupadev Shah has said the party is studying the issues raised publicly against Home Minister Sudan Gurung, but has not yet sought clarification from him.

Speaking to Khabarhub, Shah said the party’s attention was drawn after questions were raised about the home minister in public.

“After questions were raised publicly about the home minister, our attention has been drawn to the matter. We are trying to understand the issue and study the details,” Shah said. “So far, the party has not asked him for clarification.”

He said the party is currently reviewing the matter and may seek clarification soon.

Shah added that criticism and questioning of a home minister is a normal process in a democratic system and that citizens should be able to raise concerns constructively.

“In a democracy, people should be able to raise their voices in a constructive manner. We are not negative about the questions raised regarding the home minister,” he said.

He also noted that the issue was not discussed during Monday’s Central Committee meeting as it was not included in the meeting agenda.
