NRB issues foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 148.71, while the selling rate is Rs 149.31.

The buying rate of one euro is Rs 175.08 and the selling rate is Rs 175.78. The UK pound sterling is priced at Rs 201.08 for buying and Rs 201.88 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 190.39 for buying and Rs 191.15 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 106.45 (buying) and Rs 106.88 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 108.65 and Rs 109.09, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 117.17 and Rs 117.47, respectively.

For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen are priced at Rs 9.36 for buying and Rs 9.40 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 21.81 (buying) and Rs 21.90 (selling), while the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 39.65 and Rs 39.81, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.80 and Rs 40.96.

Similarly, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.63 (buying) and Rs 4.65 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.49 and Rs 40.65, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.62 and Rs 37.78. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.11, with a selling rate of Rs 10.15.

Other currencies include the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.99 (buying) and Rs 19.07 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 485.43 and Rs 487.38, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 394.30 and Rs 395.89, and the Omani rial at Rs 386.25 and Rs 387.81.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also stated that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on its official website.
