Prime Minister Sushila Karki visits Lumbini, inspects key heritage sites



LUMBINI: Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Saturday visited major heritage and religious sites in Lumbini.

During her visit, the Prime Minister inspected the Mayadevi Temple, the monastery built by the Government of Thailand, the museum, the Vajrayana Temple, and the World Peace Stupa.

She arrived in Lumbini following her visit to Rupandehi, where she had held discussions with concerned authorities regarding election preparations.

Officials of the Lumbini Development Trust, including Member-Secretary Deepak Shrestha, welcomed the Prime Minister and briefed her on the Lumbini Master Plan and the Trust’s ongoing activities.
