Three killed, one injured in motorcycle collision



DHANGADHI: Three people were killed and one seriously injured in a collision between two motorcycles on the Banadevi road section in Attariya, Kailali, along the Dhangadhi–Dadeldhura (Bhimdatta) Highway last evening.

According to the Area Police Office, Malakheti (Attariya), the injured victims died while being taken to Dhangadhi for treatment. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ran Bahadur Chand said 22-year-old Harish Oli of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-2, who was riding a motorcycle (registration number Su Pa 01-0103187), died in the incident.

Similarly, Yogendra Shah, approximately 26, of Godawari Municipality-1, who was riding motorcycle number Su Pa 01-009P 7781, and his pillion rider Harish Parki, approximately 23, also lost their lives.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Jiwan Pathak of Godawari Municipality-6, Lalpur, who was riding pillion on Oli’s motorcycle, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment.

DSP Chand said preliminary observations suggest the motorcycles were traveling at speeds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour, with parts including wheels scattered at the scene. Police also noted that Shah had previously been involved in two motorcycle accidents.

According to police, Oli was returning to Dhangadhi after attending a wedding in Godawari at the time of the accident.
