NWPP fields candidates in 120 constituencies across 59 districts



BHAKTAPUR: The Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) has fielded candidates in 120 House of Representatives constituencies across 59 districts for the upcoming election scheduled for March 5.

According to party central member Saroj Raj Gosai, the NWPP has nominated a total of 120 candidates, including 67 men and 53 women.

In Bagmati Province, the party has fielded candidates in 12 of the 13 districts, excluding Rasuwa. The party has nominated candidates in 32 constituencies across the province, including 20 women and 12 men. NWPP Central Secretary Prem Suwal has been fielded from Bhaktapur-1.

In Karnali Province, the party has nominated candidates in nine constituencies across seven districts, including one woman. Candidates include Nanda Bahadur Shahi from Kalikot, Birkha Bahadur Raut from Jumla, Bakhat Bahadur Thapa from Dailekh, and Tulsi Khadka from Surkhet.

Similarly, the party has fielded eight women and 13 men across 12 districts in Koshi Province. In Madhesh Province, NWPP has nominated six women and 16 men across eight districts.

In Lumbini Province, the party has fielded candidates in seven of the 12 districts, nominating eight women and six men. In Gandaki Province, the party has nominated six women and two men across five of the 11 districts.

In Sudurpaschim Province, excluding Bajura, the NWPP has fielded candidates in eight districts, including five women and nine men, the party said.
