LALITPUR: The historic Bhoto Jatra was celebrated with grandeur at Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, on Saturday, marking the conclusion of the annual chariot festival of Rato Machhindranath Bhoto Jatra.

As per tradition, the ceremonial display of the sacred and valuable bhoto (vest) was presented to the public during the concluding event of the chariot procession dedicated to Rato Machhindranath, the deity revered for rainfall and prosperity.

The event was attended by President Ram Chandra Paudel, senior government officials, representatives of diplomatic missions, and thousands of devotees.
