NRB issues foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 148.39, while the selling rate is Rs 148.99.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 174.56 and the selling rate at Rs 175.26. Similarly, the UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 200.57 (buying) and Rs 201.38 (selling), while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 189.79 (buying) and Rs 190.56 (selling).

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is fixed at Rs 106.37 (buying) and Rs 106.80 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 108.37 and Rs 108.80, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 116.83 and Rs 117.30, respectively.

For Asian currencies, the rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.35 (buying) and Rs 9.39 (selling). The Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.77 and Rs 21.85, the Saudi Arabian riyal at Rs 39.56 and Rs 39.72, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.70 and Rs 40.86.

Likewise, the Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.65 (buying) and Rs 4.66 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.40 and Rs 40.56, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.54 and Rs 37.70, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 10.11 and Rs 10.16. The Swedish kronor is set at Rs 16.19 (buying) and Rs 16.26 (selling), while the Danish kronor stands at Rs 23.36 and Rs 23.45.

The Hong Kong dollar is fixed at Rs 18.95 (buying) and Rs 19.02 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 484.38 and Rs 486.34, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 393.61 and Rs 395.20, and the Omani rial at Rs 385.93 and Rs 387.49.

Meanwhile, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

The central bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also stated that exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on its official website.
