Bagmati Province govt’s multi-year projects near completion



HETAUDA: Several projects implemented in Makawanpur and Chitwan under the multi-year plan of the Bagmati Province Government have been completed, according to the Urban Development and Building Office, Hetauda.

The office stated that half a dozen projects were completed after intensifying regular monitoring and supervision to ensure timely implementation.

Chief Engineer Bhupendra Kumar Yadav of the Urban Development and Building Office, Makawanpur, informed that construction of the Hetauda Hospital building has been completed and is currently in the handover process. Although the original deadline was set for mid-Asar 2081 BS, delays in land management by the hospital led to some extension of the timeline.

Similarly, construction of the Underground Water Resources and Irrigation Development Division Office building in Chitwan has been completed in the fiscal year 2081/82 under the multi-year plan.

The building of the Urban Development and Building Construction Office has also been completed. At present, the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure of the Bagmati Province Government is temporarily operating from the building following the Genji Movement.

According to Chief Engineer Yadav, conservation and beautification works at Kamal Pokhari in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-22 have been completed. The slope construction work along the Kamane-Bhorle road at Ratmate Power House Chowk in Hetauda has also been finalized.

Meanwhile, several other projects are progressing rapidly. These include construction of a sidewalk along Adda Marg in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, a street food park in Hetauda–10, the Agricultural Development Office building in Chitwan, the Sub-Division Forest Office building in Khaireni, and development works at Gole Park in Chitwan.

Infrastructure development for the Naulapur Integrated Settlement project in Rapti–12, Chitwan, is ongoing, with slope work from Miteri Tole to Namaste Park in Bharatpur–2 reported to be 55 percent complete. The remaining works are being carried out at an accelerated pace.

Similarly, physical infrastructure development at the historic Dhandev Gole Park in Thaha Municipality–9, Makawanpur, and construction of the maternal and child building at Bangular Ratnanagar Hospital in Chitwan have reached 70 percent completion.

Chief Engineer Yadav stated that construction of the intermediate ‘Homestay’ cultural community building in Madi–8, Chitwan, has also progressed by 70 percent. However, the project has been halted due to budget constraints in the current fiscal year.
