KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has been steadily increasing over the past four days.
According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius at 5:45 am today. However, this was a preliminary reading.
The official minimum temperature is measured at 8:45 am, and there remains a possibility of slight fluctuation before the final record is confirmed.
With the winter season gradually coming to an end, cold conditions are easing and temperatures are rising across the country.
The minimum temperature in Kathmandu, which stood at 7.9 degrees Celsius last Monday, has steadily increased, reaching 10 degrees Celsius by Thursday.
The Division records daily minimum and maximum temperatures at various locations across the country, including Kathmandu. The lowest temperature recorded in a day is referred to as the minimum temperature, while the highest is the maximum temperature.
The official minimum temperature is measured at 8:45 am, and the maximum temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm.
