Cabinet meeting begins at Singha Durbar



KATHMANDU: A Cabinet meeting has begun at Singha Durbar shortly after the Parliamentary Hearing Committee endorsed Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma for the post of Chief Justice.

The meeting, called by Prime Minister Balendra Shah, is expected to take several important decisions. The government is currently engaged in preparations for the upcoming national budget.

The Cabinet meeting is being held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, while a meeting of the federal parliament is also underway in the same complex.

However, both the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister were absent from Tuesday’s parliamentary session.
