Finance Committee to hold consultations with experts on upcoming budget



KATHMANDU: The Finance Committee under the House of Representatives has decided to hold consultations with experts regarding the upcoming fiscal year budget.

A meeting held on Tuesday at Singha Durbar made the decision to seek expert inputs to provide recommendations and directives to the government on budget formulation, committee chair Krishna Hari Baskota said.

During the meeting, committee members shared their views on the upcoming budget formulation process. Based on the issues raised, the committee will hold discussions with experts and forward necessary suggestions and recommendations to the government, Baskota added.

He also said subcommittees under the panel have been instructed to provide additional suggestions related to their respective areas while preparing budget-related inputs.
