NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 147.92 and the selling rate is Rs 148.52.

Similarly, the buying rate of one euro is Rs 170.59 and the selling rate is Rs 171.28. The UK pound sterling is priced at Rs 197.45 for buying and Rs 198.25 for selling, while the Swiss franc stands at Rs 188.11 and Rs 188.87, respectively.

The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 104.92 and a selling rate of Rs 105.35. The Canadian dollar is traded at Rs 108.44 for both buying and selling, while the Singapore dollar is set at Rs 115.78 for buying and Rs 116.24 for selling.

For Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen is valued at Rs 9.30 for buying and Rs 9.34 for selling. The Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 21.52 and Rs 21.61, respectively. The Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 39.40 (buying) and Rs 39.56 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 40.47 and Rs 40.63.

Among other currencies, the Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.55 for buying and Rs 4.57 for selling. The UAE dirham is set at Rs 40.27 and Rs 40.44, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.77 and Rs 37.92. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is valued at Rs 9.91 for buying and Rs 10.95 for selling. The Swedish kronor is fixed at Rs 15.88 and Rs 15.94, and the Danish kronor at Rs 22.83 and Rs 22.92.

Likewise, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 18.87 for buying and Rs 18.95 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 482.45 and Rs 484.41, while the Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 391.74 and Rs 393.33. The Omani rial is fixed at Rs 384.21 for buying and Rs 385.77 for selling. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that these rates may be revised at any time as necessary. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
