Home Minister urges voters to participate confidently in upcoming election



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has urged voters to take part confidently in the House of Representatives election on March 5, assuring that all necessary security arrangements have been made.

Addressing a meeting of the Central Security Committee today, Minister Aryal said the election will be conducted with strict and reliable security measures, and he is confident that with the cooperation and coordination of all relevant agencies, the polls will be completed on the scheduled date.

During the meeting, the heads of all three security agencies and officials of the District Security Committees reported that security preparations are in place and district-level strategies are being implemented gradually.

According to the Home Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting extensively discussed the implementation of the central election security strategy and overall preparedness for the polls.

Minister Aryal also received updates from Central Security Committee officials, chief secretaries of all seven provinces, and Chief District Officers of all 77 districts, along with district security committee officials, on the execution of provincial and district-level security strategies for the elections.
