Kathmandu’s minimum temperature rises to 5°C today



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley has recorded a rise in its minimum temperature, indicating a gradual easing of the cold spell.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu at 5:45 a.m. today (Monday) was 5 degrees Celsius. Cold conditions have gradually eased since the last one week, with temperatures showing an upward trend.

On Sunday, Kathmandu’s minimum temperature was recorded at 4.2 degrees Celsius. In the initial measurement that day, it stood at 4.7 degrees Celsius.

The official minimum temperature for today will be measured again at 8:45 a.m. At that time, the temperature is expected to decrease slightly compared to the initial reading.

The Division records daily minimum and maximum temperatures across the country, including Kathmandu. The minimum temperature is measured at 8:45 a.m., while the maximum temperature is measured at 5:45 p.m.

The lowest temperature recorded in a day is referred to as the minimum temperature, while the highest is known as the maximum temperature.
