SUNSARI: A motorcycle rider died in a road accident in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Sunsari, this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Rai, 29, of Bhirgaun, Dhankuta Municipality-2. His pillion rider, Sandip Rai, 26, from the same area, was injured in the accident, according to Chandra Bahadur Khadka, information officer at the District Police Office, Sunsari.
Anil died while undergoing treatment at Birat Teaching Hospital. Sandip is receiving treatment at the same hospital. According to police, the motorcycle, which was travelling at high speed, crashed into a road divider, killing the rider and injuring the pillion rider.
