KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to take place today at 11:00 am at Singha Durbar, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
The agenda includes responses and clarifications from ministers on questions raised during discussions on the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2026/27, presented by Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle.
Ministers from the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation will answer lawmakers’ queries related to their respective budget allocations.
Similarly, ministers will respond to questions raised during discussions on budget headings under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, National Planning Commission Secretariat, Office of the Vice President, and Office of the President.
The House agenda also includes the presentation of expenditure-cut proposals submitted by lawmakers under various budget headings of different ministries in the Appropriation Bill, which will be put to a decision by Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal.
