BIRGUNJ: Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been arrested by police from Birgunj.
He was taken into custody from Diyalo Hotel in Birgunj, according to preliminary information.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact charges or reason for his arrest. Police reportedly said the action was taken on “higher-level instructions.”
Prasai, who leads the campaign “Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizens Protection Grand Campaign Nepal,” had reached Birgunj to attend a scheduled programme.
The event was set to take place on Tuesday, officials said.
