House to continue budget discussion Tuesday; finance minister to respond Wednesday



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives will continue discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year, excluding tax proposals, in Tuesday’s meeting.

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal informed the House that lawmakers who began participating in the discussion on Monday will continue speaking in the next session.

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle had presented the principles and priorities of the budget on May 14 during a House meeting.

Following the completion of discussions, Minister Wagle is scheduled to respond to lawmakers’ queries during Wednesday’s session.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 am.
