NRB sets foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 148.39 and the selling rate at Rs 148.99. The Euro is valued at Rs 175.06 (buying) and Rs 175.76 (selling), while the UK pound sterling stands at Rs 200.75 (buying) and Rs 201.56 (selling). The Swiss franc is priced at Rs 189.65 (buying) and Rs 190.41 (selling).

Similarly, the Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 106.40 (buying) and Rs 106.83 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 108.49 and Rs 108.93, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 116.62 and Rs 117.09.

Among Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen is valued at Rs 9.32 (buying) and Rs 9.36 (selling), while one Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.75 and Rs 21.84. The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 39.56 (buying) and Rs 39.72 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 40.70 and Rs 40.86.

Likewise, the Thai baht is priced at Rs 4.63 (buying) and Rs 4.65 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.40 and Rs 40.56, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.54 and Rs 37.70. The South Korean won (per 100 units) stands at Rs 10.03 (buying) and Rs 10.07 (selling), the Swedish krona at Rs 16.18 and Rs 16.25, and the Danish krone at Rs 23.42 and Rs 23.52.

Among other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 18.95 (buying) and Rs 19.03 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 484.62 and Rs 486.58, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 393.53 and Rs 395.12, and the Omani rial at Rs 385.42 and Rs 386.98. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

The central bank stated that the exchange rates are subject to revision at any time as required. Rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the NRB’s official website.
