NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today (Wednesday). The buying rate of one US dollar is Rs 147.50, while the selling rate is Rs 148.10.

The buying rate of one euro stands at Rs 169.83 and the selling rate at Rs 170.52. The UK pound sterling is valued at Rs 196.67 for buying and Rs 197.47 for selling, while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 187.55 (buying) and Rs 188.31 (selling).

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is fixed at Rs 104.51 for buying and Rs 104.94 for selling, the Canadian dollar at Rs 107.64 and Rs 108.08, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 115.45 and Rs 115.92, respectively.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.28 and the selling rate is Rs 9.31. The Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 21.42 for buying and Rs 21.50 for selling. Similarly, the Saudi riyal stands at Rs 39.28 (buying) and Rs 39.44 (selling), while the Qatari riyal is set at Rs 40.36 and Rs 40.52.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.55 (buying) and Rs 4.57 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.16 and Rs 40.33, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.65 and Rs 37.80.

Likewise, the South Korean won (per 100 units) is fixed at Rs 9.00 for buying and Rs 9.93 for selling. The Swedish krona is set at Rs 15.83 and Rs 15.90, while the Danish krone stands at Rs 22.73 (buying) and Rs 22.82 (selling).

The buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar is Rs 18.82 and the selling rate is Rs 18.90. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 480.77 (buying) and Rs 482.72 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 390.68 and Rs 392.27, and the Omani riyal at Rs 383.12 and Rs 384.68.

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

The central bank stated that exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. Rates set by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the bank’s official website.
