Nepali Congress unveils ‘Vision 10’ pledge from Janakpur

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress has made public its election manifesto for the House of Representatives polls, unveiling it from the historic and cultural city of Janakpur on Wednesday.

The pledge document, featuring 10 key visions, was released in the presence of party president Gagan Kumar Thapa, vice president and election mobilization committee coordinator Bishwo Prakash Sharma, vice president Pushpa Bhusal, and other leaders including the Madhesh Province chief.

Following the public launch, the party also organized a press conference at its central office in Sanepa to elaborate on the key points of “Vision 10.”

Party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise said the Congress aims to form a democratic government with a clear majority that is dedicated to public welfare. He claimed the manifesto reflects responsibility, vision, and determination, presenting Nepal as a country capable of becoming one of the world’s finest nations.

He emphasized that every word in the pledge document carries clear meaning and that the party welcomes performance evaluation based on its implementation. The Congress has committed not to evade responsibility under any pretext and has urged voters to assess the party and its leaders on the basis of delivery.

Described in simple terms as “Vision 10,” the manifesto is also portrayed as the foundation of “Congress 2.0.” The party says it is determined to translate the slogan of a “Prosperous Nepal, Dignified Nepalis” into reality.
