EC publishes PR closed list with 3,213 candidates from 63 parties



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has published the closed list under the proportional representation (PR) election system.

The closed list of candidates submitted by political parties for the House of Representatives election, scheduled to be held on March 5, was made public today and uploaded to the Commission’s website.

According to the published details, a total of 3,213 candidates from 63 political parties have been included in the closed list across 57 constituencies.

Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, Joint Secretary of the Election Commission, stated that voters wishing to raise objections regarding the qualifications of any candidate listed may submit a complaint. Such complaints can be filed at the office of the election officer for the proportional election system from January 5 to January 10, in the prescribed format and in accordance with the established guidelines.
