Balen resigns as Mayor, visits RSP office and rings party bell



KATHMANDU: Former Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) visited the central office of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on Sunday after resigning from his post earlier in the day.

Upon reaching Ghantaghar, Shah rang the party’s election symbol bell. A large number of party cadres and supporters had gathered at the party office to welcome him.

He was accompanied by Sudan Gurung, head of the organization Hami Nepal. Party chair Rabi Lamichhane and other leaders welcomed them at the office.
Shah is also understood to be leaving for Janakpur later today.
