Home Minister Sudan Gurung attends funeral of Inspector Abhaya Lama



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Sudan Gurung attended the funeral of late Police Inspector Abhaya Lama, paying his final respects at Swayambhu.

According to the minister’s secretariat, Gurung visited the site to offer tribute to the deceased officer.

Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki and other senior police officials were also present at the funeral.

Inspector Lama had sustained serious injuries in a road accident on April 12 at Dandagaun, Tarakeshwar Municipality-8, Kathmandu, while returning home after completing his duty.

He passed away on April 14 while undergoing treatment.

Originally from Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-4 in Ramechhap, Lama was serving under the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Ramshahpath, at the time of the incident.
